Insulated dampers KVO-T and KVO-G are used as shut-off or control dampers.
The dampers are designed for operation at low temperatures (down to -70o C). Principle of operation and design The insulated butterfly valve KVO-T is made of rectangular cross-section. The damper body is four-walled, made with connecting flanges. The damper blades are made of aluminium profile. The vane joint is in the form of a lock seal, in the cavity of which a tubular electric heater - heating element is placed for temporary heating of the vane joint and facilitating their opening in case of freezing. The power of one heating element is 0.5 kW. The number of heating elements is calculated by the formula N=k*(n+1), where n is the number of blades, k is the number of sections. The total power of all heaters P=0,5*N, kW. The blades of the damper open parallel and are driven by levers and rods. On the body of the damper there is a terminal box for connection of automation and signalling systems (protection degree IP 54). The insulated damper KVOG consists of a four-wall body made of galvanised steel. The blades are made of aluminium profile. The blades are fitted with a locking seal. The damper blades open parallel and are driven by levers and rods. The damper design uses perimetral heating in the form of a flexible self-regulating heating cable located along the outer perimeter of the damper, permanently connected to the AC 220V network. The specific power of the heating element is ZZW/m. The heating cable has rheostatless control, which does not require additional automatic control circuitry. The cable is covered from the outside with a special insulated casing that does not extend beyond the outer dimension of the valve flanges. An electric actuator can be used as an actuator. In any version of the actuator, the valve remains operational regardless of the spatial orientation. In the standard version the electric actuator of the valve is insulated with a self-regulating heating cable (flexible heating element), which is connected to the 220V network permanently and heats the electric actuator depending on the ambient temperature. Installation of dampers in the ventilation system is carried out by attaching the flanges of dampers to the mating flanges of air ducts and other units of ventilation systems. Width of the damper flanges is 37.5 mm.
