Fire damper PDM -2m/PDM -3

PDM -2m/PDM -3 valves are made of galvanised steel. Fire damper PDM -2m by its functional purpose is used in exhaust smoke ventilation systems as a smoke damper. Smoke dampers are closed under normal conditions. In case of fire, these dampers must open to remove smoke from the smoke zone, and in other areas not exposed to smoke, must remain closed to ensure the regulatory requirements for air supply to the smoke exhaust duct. Fire damper PDM -3 in the mode of fire dampers normally closed, designed for exhaust and supply smoke ventilation systems, as well as for smoke and gas removal systems after the fire in rooms protected by gas, aerosol or powder fire extinguishing systems. Under normal conditions these dampers are closed. In case of fire, the dampers are opened to provide smoke removal or air supply to protected volumes, e.g. vestibule locks, smoke-free stairwells of type H2, lift shafts, as well as to remove smoke and gases after fire extinguishing with gas, aerosol or powder extinguishing systems. The design of normally closed dampers and methods of controlling the damper are similar to smoke dampers, the difference is in the field of application and certification test modes of these dampers. In the mode of smoke dampers PDM -3 are designed for installation of exhaust smoke ventilation system, similar to PDM -2m. The dampers are available in both wall and duct version. They are installed in vertical and horizontal openings of smoke ventilation, in ceilings, suspended ceilings and on duct branches. The damper is operable in any spatial orientation. The valve should not be installed in ventilation ducts of premises of A and B categories of explosion and fire hazard. Type of climatic execution and placement category U3 according to GOST 15150-69. Limit values of operating temperature of ambient air from -30°С to +40°С, subject to direct exposure to atmospheric precipitations. The valve is equipped with the following types of actuators:
- electromechanical FS, FSN (SPUTNIK);
- electromechanical BLF (BFL), BLE (Belimo);
- electromagnetic (EM).
