Smoke exhaust valve KPD-5A

Installation of dampers is carried out in accordance with the requirements of SNiP 41-01-2003. Valve KDP-5A is designed for operation in closed premises. Type of climatic execution - UHL 4 according to GOST 15150-69. KDP-5A valve is designed for operation under the following conditions:
- the environment must not contain aggressive vapours and gases in concentrations destructive to metals and insulation;
- limit operating temperatures of ambient air: upper value +40°С; lower value +1°С
- average monthly value of relative humidity in the warmest and most humid period - 65% at 20°C, upper value of relative humidity - 90% at 20°C. The valve should not be installed in ducts and channels:
- for premises of categories A and B on fire-explosion safety;
- local suction of fire-explosive mixtures;
- in places that are not subjected to periodic cleaning according to the established regulations for prevention of combustible deposits. KDP-5A valves are used in smoke protection systems of buildings and are designed to open the opening of the smoke exhaust shaft on the floor of fire occurrence. Opening of the KDP-5A valve cover is performed by applying voltage to the coil of the actuator electromagnet. Closing of the valve is carried out manually when the voltage on the actuator is removed. KDP-5A valves are used:
- in the GAPU-2 type automation system - KDP-5A UHL4-01 valve;
- in the PPSDU-32 type automation system - KDP-5A UHL4-02 valve;
- in automatic system of PPSDU-34 type - KDP-5A UHL4-03 valve;
The design of the KDP-5A valve provides for the following ways of opening the flaps:
- remote, from the control panel by means of a drive;
- automatic, according to fire detector signals by means of a drive;
- manual.
Note
KDP-5A valves are standardly equipped with metal grids to protect the equipment placed in the KDP-5A valve from foreign objects.
