Air-cooled condenser chillers SKW 039-190

General description
- Type of design - cooling only.
- Refrigerant: Freon R407C, R410A.
- Operating range of ambient air temperature from +5 to +44°C.
- 12 standard sizes with cooling capacity from 45 to 188 kW.
- Maximum possible content of glycol in the coolant mixture is 40%
(for versions with integrated pump).

Distinctive features
Large number of cooling capacity regulation stages - in many cases there is no need to install a storage tank (minimum system volume is given in the table). Infinitely variable fan speed control allows to extend the chiller operation range in terms of ambient air temperature (up to +5°C), ensures stable operation of the chiller at different environmental parameters, and also contributes to a significant reduction in noise level. Flow switch for protection against evaporator freezing. Selectable operation for both inlet and outlet temperatures. Extension of the setpoint temperature selection range when filling the system with glycol solution. The chiller control algorithm ensures stable operation of the refrigeration circuit components in design operating modes, as well as equal-sized running time of compressors and pumps. If necessary, it is possible to equip the chiller with a remote control panel with the ability to remotely change parameters and operating modes, providing full access and display of all menus of the controller.
Design features
Enclosure. Galvanised steel supporting casing with polyester powder coating. Rubber vibration isolators. Easy access to internal components via removable panels.
Compressors.
Three-phase scroll compressors with crankcase heating and inbuilt motor overload protection.
Fans. Axial low-speed fans with specially shaped blades (low noise level) directly driven by single-phase or three-phase electric motor with external rotor. Integrated motor overheating protection. Protection class IP 54. Protection grille on the discharge side.
Evaporator.
Copper brazed plate heat exchanger in AISI 316 stainless steel. Two independent circuits on the refrigerant side and one on the water side.
Control unit. The control unit includes the following components: input switch, compressor overload protection device, phase control relay, fan speed controller, controller for chiller control, low and high pressure protection, discharge temperature protection, fan winding temperature protection. Dry contacts for chiller control and alarm and operation signals.
Controller.
Continuous indication of the chiller status: set and actual coolant temperatures, real time, chiller load percentage, operation/accident/lockout. Rotation of compressors and pumps by operating time, logging of emergency conditions with date and time of occurrence, logging of compressor and pump operating time and total operating time of the chiller, possibility to switch on the pump while the refrigeration circuit is stopped, weekly timer.
Refrigeration circuit.
Components
low pressure switch, high pressure switch with manual reset, high and low pressure sensors, discharge temperature protection relay, filter-drier, sight glass, solenoid valve, thermostatic control valve with external pressure equalisation, Schrader service valves.
Water circuit. The circuit is assembled on split primer connections. Includes: inlet and outlet temperature sensors, flow switch, automatic air vent valve with shut-off valve, safety valve (6 bar).
